Message from Mr. Imbusch
Dear students, staff, and parents/guardians:
Believe it or not, it's time to share with you the 2026 Senior Packet. Graduation is fast approaching and this packet has a lot of important information for our seniors and their families.
Thank you to all those who tuned in for our WHS College Admissions Panel discussion yesterday evening. If you were unable to tune in, but would like to hear the discussion, here is the video link to the discussion.
Finally today, I am happy to report that Walpole High School has again earned a place on the College Board's AP School Honor Roll for the 2024-25 school year! The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success. Research shows students who take AP courses and exams are more likely to attend college and graduate on time. The students who enter four-year colleges with credit from AP accelerate their path to graduation and build confidence for college success. And even for those who don’t earn college credit, AP coursework provides early exposure to college-level work and contributes to a college-going school culture.
Sincerely,
Stephen Imbusch
Principal

The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. R.A.D. is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
The program runs in four (4) three-hour classes taught by our certified R.A.D. Instructors, all Walpole Police Officers, and will be closed to those not enrolled. The program is held here in town, in a private classroom environment.
Photography Club
Photography Club will meet after school Thursday, February 12th. We will have another new theme this week, the "Rule of Thirds". This is a guideline that places your subject in the left or right third of an image, leaving the other two thirds more open. If you imagine dividing a photo, or even your camera’s viewfinder, into nine equal sections using horizontal and vertical lines, that forms your rule-of-thirds grid — a setting you can select on most cameras and even on your phone. We hope you give it a try as it is a new theme for us. We have been getting more creative with our themes this year and it's been really great to see what the students do with the themes.
If you would like more information contact jdagostino@walpole.k12.ma.us Please follow along on our instagram to see our pictures that the students have taken: @photography_whs123

Girls and Boys Hockey Fundraiser
Grade Mania began on Tuesday, January 20th! As a part of a fundraiser for the Walpole Food Pantry, the National Honors Society is holding a contest to see which grade can raise the most money. Students can donate during lunch using cash or Venmo. Parents can participate by donating for their child's grade either during basketball games or via the Venmo (@Whs-Donations). To donate, write “NHS Grade [#]” (inserting 9, 10, 11, or 12 for the #) in the description. At the end of Grade Mania, whichever grade raises the most money wins! Every student in that grade will receive a gift card to a local restaurant such as Muffin House Cafe or Playa Bowls. Donate today and help those suffering from food insecurity!
