2pi@r11 is COMING!
What are you doing on 2π day?
ESC Region 11 is hosting our 3rd annual 2π@R11 Virtual Mathematics Conference on Monday, June 28, 2021, and we want you to share your expertise! We are looking for presenters for PK-12 who would like to share their knowledge on math topics such as Literacy in Mathematics, Math Discourse, Remote-Hybrid Learning, Differentiation, Making Mathematics Visible, and/or Small-Group Instruction. Last year, we had more than 200 educators in attendance and are looking to get more than 2π (360) this year. If you have a session ready to go and would love a practice run, or you are simply interested in helping educators, please consider sharing your expertise at our conference. Here is the link to present:
Mathematics Achievement Academies
Kindergarten-First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade teachers from eligible schools will:
- examine TEKS-based learning progressions and critical checkpoints for student understanding;
- experience classroom-ready activities, including formative assessment and follow-up activities that account for learner variability; and
- build a toolkit of strategies and key questions for students with disabilities, English language learners, students struggling to learn mathematics, and gifted learners.
Upon successful completion, eligible teachers will receive a stipend.
