Good Afternoon, Jaguar Nation!

We had a fantastic first week back! Students explored new classes, and we quickly got back into the school routine. This week, we also revisited our student expectations and introduced an exciting new program called Minga.

As mentioned in our previous newsletter, Minga is designed to:

• Praise students' positive moments on campus
• Promote student engagement
• Reward students for their efforts
• Monitor unstructured time in the hallways effectively

We’re thrilled to announce that 7th grade has earned a special break time next week during advisory on January 16th for accumulating the most Minga points in our first week back. Great job, 7th grade! We will have soda and candy for sale for student to purchase during this time while they hang out with their friends.

We hope all our students and families enjoyed the recent snow days! We’d love to see your snowy memories. Please follow us on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) and share your pictures and videos by commenting on our snow day posts. The top videos and pictures will be featured in our student broadcast and yearbook!

Next Week’s Upcoming Events:

• 1/13 7th Grade Boys Basketball vs Willow Springs @ Jones

• 1/16 7th Grade Break Time During Advisory

• 1/16 7th Grade Girls Basketball vs Willow Springs @ Jones

• 1/20 School Holiday/ No School

Thank you for your continued support, and let’s make this semester the best one yet! Go Jags!
