Why do you do Playbook? What do you like about it?
I do playbook because I feel as though the lessons that students learn through the program are so important to help them become better humans and stand up for others, I am so thankful that this program was brought to Norwell by students, for students.
What do you like about being an ELA teacher?
I am obsessed with reading and i love to discuss stories, i actually remember when i was in sixth grade we had to write a children's book that we read to first graders and i remember loving this project so much and it made me think that teaching ELA would be really fun.
Have you ever met anyone famous? If so, explain.
I've met Kwame Alexander in person and he was amazing, obviously, and i recently met Dana Barros (former Celtics player) and he was amazing at speaking about his experience as a player and as a human.
Do you have a fav valentines day movie?
I've always loved Titanic and The Notebook, which are both very cheesy.
What's your favorite topic to teach in ELA, why?
I think I just love discussing literature because even after I've read something multiple times there's always someone who can share a new perspective. I also love creating writing!

1. Valentine's Day (Feb 14) is a 1,500+ year-old tradition, famously featuring 145M+ cards sent annually (2nd only to Christmas)
2. Roughly 250M roses are grown for the holiday, while 8B conversation hearts (originally medical lozenges) are produced. It’s also a major day for pets, with ~$750 spent on them.
