Student Portal - TLC Schedule

Dear Emerson Families,

Back in the Fall, I had announced I was expecting my second child. During my maternity leave, Dr. Randy Needlman will assume the role of Interim Principal. Dr. Needlman has twenty years of school leadership experience in the Chicago area. He was the Principal at Devonshire School in Skokie School District 68 and North Park Elementary School in the city and Interim Principal at Lincoln Junior High in Skokie School District 69. Prior to his administrative roles, he taught in the Lincolnwood, Orland Park and Bannockburn schools. During my absence, please direct your concerns to him or either Assistant Principal- Mrs. Soulias or Mr. Conlin. I look forward to returning to Emerson in early May to conclude the end of the year with everyone.

All the Best,

Tessa

2025/2026 Registration Now OPEN! 2025/2026 Registration Now OPEN!

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now open! As previously communicated by District 64, the registration deadline will be noon on Friday, March 14. If you register your child and pay the fees by the deadline, you will receive the early bird discount. You must fill out and submit registration forms by Monday, March 10, at 3:00 pm to take advantage of the fee discount. This allows our staff time to verify documents and send out invoices so you can pay them by noon on Friday, March 14. Any families who do not register by this date will receive a records release, as we assume you’re going to another district.

To begin registration, please visit your PowerSchool parent portal at ps.d64.org. This applies to both students returning to Emerson AND to our incoming 6th grade students. Once logged in, please click on “forms” on the left hand side, click on the “enrollment” tab, and then begin completing the forms for the 2025-2026 school year. If for any reason you can not log in to your parent portal and you have tried resetting your password, please contact the main office at 847-318-8110 or you can email em-secretaries@d64.org for assistance.

Once registration is submitted, you will receive an invoice from the District Office within 3-5 days. Please note, this is NOT a registration approval. You will receive a separate email confirming registration approval. If you have any questions regarding the registration process, please email the Administrative Secretary, Melissa Arnos at marnos@d64.org. She will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Rainbows Student Peer Groups

Rainbows for All Children provides peer groups for kids in 1st - 8th grade. These groups provide a safe space for them to share their experiences associated with loss of a loved one and/or a changing family dynamic due to divorce, deployment, etc. Trained facilitators help encourage communication while identifying, navigating and discussing feelings amongst the group. Our next session begins on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025. This free program meets every Tuesday, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, at the Park Ridge Community Church.

Please use this Google Form link to register your child/children and/or to be added to our communications list. Any general questions or interest in volunteering to become a facilitator, please contact rainbows64@att.net . For more general info please visit https://rainbows.org/
