What should I be doing now?
- Students who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence are MV eligible
- Birth - age 5 (not GSRP) - if you provided referrals or items to a younger sibling of an MV student or a young child of a student who was experiencing homelessness between 10/1/24 and 9/30/25, please send the number of younger siblings or children within the household that you helped for our final report
- Let staff know to check with you before sending out fine notices / invoices to students or families - if the student is MV we can reimburse for student fees
- You can provide transportation to parents / guardians of MV students if they need assistance to participate in fall conferences or school events
- NOTE: with current immigration enforcement activities many parents / guardians / families are unable to attend events as they normally would - if you notice a drop in attendance consider things like virtual conferences, livestreams of school events, or meeting in trusted community locations
