Where did February go?
Hello Falcon Families:
It's hard to believe that we have come to the end of February and now it's time to move on to March. We spent this month celebrating black history month with plenty of activities on campus. We are closing out our celebration with our Black History Month program on Monday in the cafeteria. Our girls soccer team concluded their season last week and boys basketball will wrap things up this week. Then we transition to our next sport, track!
We wrapped up interim testing this past week, and now we move forward to finish preparing out students for STAAR testing in April. This week we will be mailing out the family reports from MAP testing. These reports will help guide conversations with your student(s) pertaining to their areas of strength and areas of growth as we move into our preparation time.
As we move into the month of March, we start our spring attendance incentives. It is very important as we move through the spring semester for students to be present every day. Our incentive programs include individual, class and grade level incentives. Please make sure that your student(s) are present everyday for the remainder of the year.
Please take a moment to read through the information below. We appreciate all your support, and please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Sincerely,
Nicole Rosas-Saunders, Principal

Tardy Sweeps....what are they and why are they done?
We have noticed that more and more students are getting to class late, because of this, we have initiated our Tardy Sweeps. Please read the information below pertaining to the process.
Tardy Sweeps:
If your student is caught in a tardy sweep, it result in a day of ISS. Tardy sweeps are announced during the passing period by admin with at least 3:00 mins left in the transition period. If your student is not in the room when the tardy bell rings, they are escorted to ISS for the remainder of the day. Admin performs these sweeps. The ISS will either be served that day or scheduled for the next day.
