Ever Thought About Being a Foster Parent?
Over 68% of the children brought into foster care in Cobb are placed in homes or group homes outside of the county due to the low number of foster homes in Marietta.
I would like to extend an invitation to your community for an upcoming Foster Care Informational Session. This session is designed to provide valuable insights into the foster care system, including the process of becoming a foster parent, the support available, and the positive impact you can have on a child’s life.
Event Details:
• Date: 04/18/2025
• Time: 5:00pm to 6:30pm
• Location: Sawyer Road Elementary Learning Commons (840 Sawyer Road Marietta, Ga)
Whether you’re considering fostering or simply want to learn more about the process, this session will provide you with the information needed to make informed decisions and take the next steps.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me directly (bgeorge@marietta-city.k12.ga.us).
We hope to see you there and look forward to discussing how you can get involved in making a difference.
Warm regards,
Brittany George

Car Rider Safety
The safety of both students and staff are of the most importance!
- We ask all vehicles to stay in line during car rider drop-off and pick-up. We are moving as quickly and safely as possible.
- Cutting in or pulling around other vehicles can create dangerous situations and disrupt the flow of traffic.
- Following the designated procedures helps maintain a safe and efficient process for everyone.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation in keeping our school community safe. Thank you for setting a positive example and prioritizing student safety.
REMINDER: Early Checkout Policy
- Please limit early pick-up of children to emergencies and appointments.
- Unless it's an emergency, no student will be released between 2:45 and 3:15.
- If a child is out for any portion of the school day, the missed time is recorded as a tardy. A note sent in the morning will help us to have your child ready.
- Parents will be asked to wait for the dismissal bell. Come to the office to check out a student.
- Please be prepared to present photo identification upon request.
- NOTE: Any adult (18 years or older) must be registered in the ASPEN portal. Enrolling parent / legal guardian may add or remove an individual.
