Duval Dispatch

Dear Duval Families!

We hope everyone is well.

Many thanks to the PTO for a wonderful Monster Mash event on Friday! See pictures below.

Regarding Oct. 31st. While we don't celebrate Halloween per se, students are invited to wear Black and Orange on the 31st as we enjoy the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Day. There is rain in the forecast so some of the events are subject to change.

Reminder that Friday is an Early Release Day. 12:10 Dismissal.

Thank you.

Dr. Marcus and Ms. Craig

This Week's Weather: A bit rainy

The conference portal (PTC Wizard) will open to parents/guardians for booking on 10/29/2025 at 8am and will close on 11/04/2025 at 3pm. Conferences are held on 11/5/2025 - in person afternoon and virtual evening. Please be on the lookout for information later this week.

Each year, a small group of fifth graders is selected to represent students and participate in community service projects as members of the Duval Student Council. While we wish we could have welcomed all of the applicants, we are pleased to announce the following new members of the 25-26 Student Council. Keegan, Brady, Alexa, Zoe, Alyana, Callie, Gabrielle, Kayden, Julia, Emily, Rhys, and David! Many thanks to Miss Jordan for leading the Student Council!

Please send in a NOTE for dismissal changes. A quick call in the midst of a busy morning or afternoon may not get the information to the teacher/student.

Please make sure your phone and email info is up to date with the office.

Getting ready for our big Oct. 31st event, Pumpkin Day. We're asking folks to send in a big pumpkin for each classroom. Please check with your child's teacher.

Here is the October News from Nurse Andersen. Please check it out HERE.

Thank you.

Hello Duval Families!

We had so much fun at the Monster Mash Friday night! We had an amazing turnout and we appreciate everyone who volunteered their time or sent treats. This event is definitely a Duval favorite and it wouldn’t be possible without so many people pitching in to create these memories for our students!

As we approach November we are finalizing all the details for our Annual Basket Raffle and Auction. This event is one of largest fundraisers of the year and will be held on 11/21 at the Whitman VFW at 6pm. It is open to all and a fun night out. Classrooms basket collections have begun and are due 11/5. Please see flyer for classroom themes and some ideas. We appreciate ALL donations and will be sure everything ends up in the right place.

Our 2 grand prize raffles have officially opened and these can be shared with friends and family- this is a great way to help our event be successful! We have a scratch ticket board with $250 in tickets and $100 cash and we have some amazing Celtics tickets that would make a great holiday gift. Live auctions and (over 100!) raffle prizes will be announced soon so stay tuned and keep sharing!

Upcoming dates to save:

11/11: Partnership with Wicked Loft

11/18: November PTO meeting 7p

11/21: Basket Raffle @VFW 6p

12/8-12: Holiday Shop during school
