Jaguars of the Week
Early Release Day
Tomorrow is an Early Release Day for students in 1st-5th grade. Students will be dismissed at 1:40 pm.
Black Out Day
Get ready for some fun! Tomorrow is Black Out Day at DuJardin Elementary, a special event sponsored and planned by our Student Council.
Students are encouraged to come to school wearing all black tomorrow.
Please remind your child to bring a small, labeled flashlight!
Students will spend a portion of their day tomorrow in darkness in a safe and engaging way. This activity is a fun way to celebrate school spirit and support our student leaders.
Thank you for helping us support this unique Student Council event!
Jaguar Dens
Tomorrow is a very special day at DuJardin as we come together for Jaguar Dens.
Tomorrow marks our second Jaguar Den event of the school year. This is an important time when our entire student body comes together to build community and recognize some of our community heroes for their positive impact and service. Tomorrow we will celebrate and recognize our amazing Bloomingdale Police Officers.
Socktober
Did you know that socks are consistently the most requested item at homeless shelters? It's a small item, but it meets a huge health need that many people often overlook. Those experiencing homelessness often walk long distances every day, placing immense stress on their feet. Without clean socks, feet are constantly at risk. A single clean pair of socks provides warmth, comfort, and protection, making it a critical health necessity.
This simple donation can make a profound difference in someone’s daily well-being and dignity. Please consider sending in a donation of new, unused socks of any size or color with your child this month. Collection boxes will be set up in the main lobby.
Let's work together this Socktober to ensure everyone in our community & beyond can have a clean, warm pair of socks. Thank you for partnering with DuJardin to teach our students the value of caring for others!
Math Fact Fluency
In September, students in 1st through 5th grade completed a pre- assessment for addition and/or multiplication math fact fluency. Student scores will be sent home with students in the near future. The score will be considered your child’s baseline as we move through the 2025-2026 school year.
As a school, we are continuing to work on developing strategies to support accurate and fluent understanding of math facts. We will be re-assessing students with a brief assessment for addition and/or multiplication math fact fluency in January and May.
Please support math fact practice at home by using the links found through this QR Code.
If you have any questions, please let your child’s Math teacher know.
Veterans Day
We are honored to invite any available Veterans to join us at school on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, for a special day of recognition and celebration. Our Veterans will have the opportunity to:
- Enjoy lunch with our Student Council (lunch provided)
- Visit classrooms to share their experiences and stories with students
- Participate in a hallway parade as we recognize and thank Veterans for their service
If you or a Veteran in your family would like to attend, please let us know by sharing information on this Google form. We look forward to welcoming our heroes and making this a memorable day for our students and Veterans alike!
Additionally, we will be creating a Wall of Honor in our hallway to proudly display pictures and information about Veterans connected to our students. If your family would like to participate, please send in:
- A photo of the Veteran
- Their name, branch of service, and any additional details you'd like to share
- Click here to share this information digitally
Please submit Wall of Honor items anytime between now and Veterans Day. Click here for a Wall of Honor Template that you can use.

Please inform the nurse of any allergies or sensitivities to foods, medications, and environmental allergens. Please review the policy included in the registration process.

AR Reading Program
The Accelerated Reader (AR) program at DuJardin: Students in first-fifth grade can take AR tests on the books they read.
