Tobor Tech

LOHS Robotics Teams' State Champ Winnings

As the FIRST Tech Challenge season came to a close, Lake Oswego Robotics finished strong at the State Championships. Due to snow, the State Championship was moved to remote at the last minute, pushing LO teams to rapidly pivot, testing the teams’ ability to adapt. Teams Mostly Operational, All Hands on Tech, and ToborTech were all ranked above the top 20 in Oregon. All Hands on Tech demonstrated consistent performance throughout the season, and ranked fifth in Robot Performance. ToborTech won the Control Award, placed finalist for the Connect Award, and ranked second in Robot Performance. In addition, coach Hans Tsai won the Compass Award, recognizing his commitment to local robotics teams. ToborTech’s member, and student representative to the LO Robotics board, Aidan Kwapisz was also nominated as one of Oregon’s Dean’s List finalists. Lake Oswego Robotics is proud of a strong season and eagerly awaits next year's challenge.

Help our backpack club

Most kids can’t wait for the weekend…but kids who are food insecure can’t wait for it to be over. These kids receive state-funded meals at school, but often do not have enough to eat after school on Friday and before school on Monday.

That’s where the Backpack Club steps in and provides individual weekend food packs to kids every Friday.

These packs are filled with the items that are:

 Nutritious & Tasty

 Shelf-Stable

 Single-Serving & Easy to Open

We are holding our very first food drive this spring!

There are two ways to participate:

Donations via Amazon – you simply click our Amazon Wish List, select the items and quantity you would like to donate, and select “Backpack Club” at checkout under “Choose a shipping address”. The items will be delivered directly to the school! (Otherwise, the items will be shipped to your default address, and you can bring them to the school.)

Monetary Donations – you can donate via this link and the Backpack Club will put your donation to good use (and we will have fun shopping for the best deals!)

If you have any questions, or if you would like to participate in another way, please reach out to club president, Ava Brenden: avabrenden@icloud.com

Thank you for your continued support!

She quickly makes you feel like you’re gabbing with your best friend.

Ways to report incidents related to bias, racism or harassment in losd

Parents-guardians who have concerns about a student’s well-being are encouraged to reach out to their principal, and to maintain strong lines of communication and partnership between students, families, staff, and other resources. SafeOregon is also an effective way to report a tip regarding safety threats or potential acts of violence to our students or schools. Students should also be aware that intentionally providing a false report is a serious offense. https://www.safeoregon.com/

In addition, below are reporting methods for parents-guardians or students to use to report issues related to racist, bias, or harassment incidents.
