American Adventurer Announcements

This was another joyous week.

In Religion class, we reflected upon and discussed the real reason for the Christmas season: Jesus and His birth!

In our Literacy classes, we completed a variety of Christmas-themed reading activities.

In Math class, we used the "present-shaped" area model to multiply two-digit numbers by two-digit numbers. This is tricky for some of us, so we will be reviewing this all week long!

In our Handwriting class periods, we completed a Christmas-themed project and read to our Preschool Reading Buddies.

In Social Studies class, we reviewed the best facts about the Southeast Region and took our SE region states and capitals assessment. It's hard to believe that we're almost done studying this fun and festive region.

In P.E., we concluded our jumping unit by working in groups of three and moving Skip-Its using our dominant legs. Some of us loved these challenges, and some of us did not :D

And in Science, we reviewed renewable and nonrenewable forms of energy!

We also sang Christmas carols with Mrs. Jurica, searched for Spanish Christmas carols online with Mr. Bryant, and finished our salt-dough ornaments with Mrs. Yamate. AND we made and wrapped our Christmas gifts for our families and celebrated Jesus' birthday on top of all of the holiday fun PTL planned for us. It was a beautiful week!
