Polar Bear Families,

We are heading into the home stretch of the first nine weeks, and I want to thank you for all you do every day. Our campus goal is 96 percent daily attendance. When students are here, they receive the small group teaching, practice, and encouragement we have planned for them. We set specific goals for every student, and being in school helps us give them exactly what they need to grow.

Thank you for scheduling doctor’s appointments after school whenever possible or bringing your child before and or after an appointment so they do not miss the whole day. Those choices truly make a difference.

A simple habit that boosts learning at home is reading together for 10 to 20 minutes a day. It builds vocabulary and background knowledge. It strengthens fluency and comprehension. It grows confidence and focus. It nurtures a love of learning and a warm parent and child connection.

As we wrap up this grading period, a few friendly reminders: check Parent Portal for grades and attendance, encourage on time arrival, and keep a simple evening routine. Read together, review backpacks, and set out tomorrow’s supplies. If you have questions about your child’s progress or need support with attendance, please reach out. We are here to help.

Familias de los Osos Polares,

Nos estamos acercando al final de las primeras nueve semanas, y quiero agradecerles por todo lo que hacen cada día. Nuestra meta en el campus es lograr un 96 por ciento de asistencia diaria. Cuando los estudiantes están presentes, reciben la enseñanza en grupos pequeños, la práctica y el apoyo que hemos planeado especialmente para ellos. Establecemos metas específicas para cada estudiante, y asistir a la escuela nos permite brindarles exactamente lo que necesitan para crecer.

Gracias por programar las citas médicas después del horario escolar siempre que sea posible, o por traer a su hijo(a) antes y/o después de una cita, para que no pierda todo el día. ¡Esas decisiones realmente marcan la diferencia!

Un hábito simple que mejora el aprendizaje en casa es leer juntos de 10 a 20 minutos al día. Esto desarrolla el vocabulario y el conocimiento previo, fortalece la fluidez y la comprensión, aumenta la confianza y la concentración, y fomenta tanto el amor por el aprendizaje como una conexión cálida entre padre/madre e hijo(a).

A medida que cerramos este período de calificaciones, les recordamos amablemente lo siguiente: revisen el Portal para Padres para monitorear calificaciones y asistencia, fomenten la llegada puntual y mantengan una rutina sencilla por la tarde. Lean juntos, revisen las mochilas y preparen los materiales para el día siguiente. Si tienen preguntas sobre el progreso de su hijo(a) o necesitan apoyo con la asistencia, no duden en comunicarse con nosotros. Estamos aquí para ayudar.
