The voluntary lateral transfer window for school-based certified and classified employees will open Feb. 2, 2026, and close May 1, 2026. A lateral transfer is defined as a move from one location to another in the same position. Employees interested in transferring do not need to submit an official application but must request a meeting with the principal at their desired school and arrange interest interviews between Feb. 2 and May 1.

Principals and supervisors should interview interested transfer candidates and submit recommendations to Human Resources by May 1 using a Personnel Action Change Form. Human Resources will review all recommendations and notify employees, current principals or supervisors, and receiving principals or supervisors of approval decisions on or before May 8. Final staffing decisions will depend on available earned allotments, and employees impacted by the Facilities Master Plan will receive priority consideration.
