There are a variety of tasks in this project and we hope to involve as many students as possible with assignments ranging from sandwich making, to making flatware bundles, to packing boxes for delivery.
To support this project, we are looking for donations. These donations can be “in kind” or cash. Please see the link to the sign up genius below if you wish to make a donation:

Dental Hygiene Kits
The MS has received free Oral Health Kits for our students from the NJ Children's Oral Health Program as a thank you for participating in the Basic Dental Screening Program.
Each kit contains a toothbrush with travel cover, toothpaste and floss.
Students can stop by the nurse to pick one up until April 15th. After that date, the remaining kits will be donated.April is Month of the Military Child
April is dandy because it is Month of the Military Child.
The dandelion is a symbol used to represent the resilience and adaptability of military children who, like dandelion seeds, are often uprooted and replanted across the world, yet thrive wherever they land. Purple is the color for Month of the Military Child, because it is a combination of all of the colors that represent the U.S Military forces blended together.
In honor of the Month of the Military Child at NB our morning announcements will be led by our Military Students. We will have a special get together for our Military Students on Thursday, April 10th to celebrate their adaptability, unique experiences, and resilience. NB is excited to Purple Up every Thursday throughout the month, and we will also have a school wide Purple Up Duck Hunt on Thursdays for all NB students.

Class of 2030 - Course Selection for 2025-2026
Last week, the middle school counselors met with all of the current seventh graders during their physical education classes to review course selection for next year. All of the students present entered their course requests in PowerSchool. Parents should be sure to review the requests with their child. Any questions, please contact the counseling office. Any changes must be made by March 17. After that date, the system will be locked and counselors will begin to meet with students individually to go over the requests.

Here are some our Smart Cookies who were recognized for being leaders!
Some of our students planted red oak saplings on Friday. Hopefully, the trees will take and eventually provide shade for spectators at our field hockey and baseball fields.
Clinical Corner
Spring is arriving in a few days! Which means it is a popular time to “spring clean”. This ritual is often good for our mental health as well as our living space! Even for teens, it can be a reset if they clean out and organize their room or workspace. Spring cleaning can offer a sense of control and empowerment, which can help reduce anxiety and depression. It may also allow us to feel a sense of accomplishment with the tasks we are able to complete. In order to avoid being overwhelmed, start with small tasks first. You might find that you are then motivated to tackle other tasks you have been putting off all winter. Here are some quick tips to share with your students/teen to help them benefit from some spring cleaning as well:
Set realistic goals
Don’t be afraid to ask for help
Make it enjoyable-play music, listen to a podcast, invite a friend for company
Take breaks-make sure to have good snacks handy to keep energy up
Get outside-if you can’t do this, at least open some windows while you clean
