From the Principal's Desk From the Principal's Desk

Fuller Families,

We have an exciting week ahead! Our 5th graders are off on an exciting adventure to Camp Grady Spruce Monday through Wednesday! We can’t wait to hear all about their outdoor learning experiences and team-building fun.

On Wednesday evening, join us for Parent Connect in the library (with a virtual option) beginning at 6:00 p.m.. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, connect with campus administration, and learn more about our procedures and practices as we wrap up the first nine weeks of school.

Friday, October 10th marks the end of the 9 weeks. Next week, students will have a holiday while teachers host Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please check your email from your child’s teacher to sign up for a time that works for you.

Throughout October, we’re showing our unity for National Bullying Prevention Month by wearing orange every Wednesday. We have kicked off our Canned Food Drive—let’s see which grade level can bring in the most donations to help our community!

Finally, we’re collecting candy donations for our annual Trunk or Treat event! Drop off your candy in the front office to earn a Principal’s Master Builder Award for your donation.

Let’s keep building greatness together, Chaparrals!

Have a great upcoming week and remember,
We are Fuller, We are Family!

Thank you,

Nathan Smith

Fuller Elementary Principal

Please click on Parent Information to see the information and links.

Referral will be open September 29 at 8:00 am through October 17 and will close at 3:00pm.

If you are interested in having your child considered for the Gifted and Talented service, please have the referral form filled out and submitted by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2025. Unfortunately, there will be NO late exceptions.

Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance. Per TEA, ADA time is 9:00AM, any student that arrives after 9:00AM, will be counted absent for the entire day of school. Tardy period is from 7:35-8:59AM.

A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.

In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.

For attendance questions:
