Principal's Corner Principal's Corner

Dear BFPP Families,

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! I hope you all had a wonderful summer, full of memory making. My summer included troll hunting, bioluminescence, cherry pie and coffee in North Bend (a little Twin Peaks pilgrimage), watching some shooting stars, dance parties, lots of puppy cuddles, rowing, and reading books. I look forward to hearing about your adventures!

We are very excited to get things started. I am especially excited to let you know that we have a working boiler! It seems that we will have heat in the building and gym. The district continued working on that situation over the summer. They got the parts needed and installed, and yes, tested it even during the summer to make sure it works. They also fixed a faulty sewer line out to the gym, which now has working toilets. Big thanks to the district for following through with their commitment to revitalize the Larrabee building. They heard how important it was to keep our community together and made sure that was a priority.

Another newsletter will be sent out at the end of the week. We consolidate as much of our communications into the newsletters as possible to reduce the number of notices and emails. That means they are packed with essential information. That newsletter will include important information about Learning Plan Partner Meetings, our Back-to-School Celebration Pic Nic, Laptop Distribution, registration and the start of enrichment classes. Be on the lookout!!

See below information about some community opportunities, including the District Block Party! I hope to see you there.

The building and office are now open so if you have any questions feel free to contact us. The office number is (360) 676-6424.

Warmly,

Dr K

Welcome Jess! Welcome Jess!

Greetings! My name is Jessica Sheasley, Jess, and I am excited to join BFPP as the new school counselor! I grew up on a small farm in Yelm, WA with my wonderful sister and parents. The past 12 years I have lived in the greater Seattle area for school and work. My background is in community based mental health and being a part of a caring and supportive community is important to me. This is just one of the many reasons I am so grateful to be joining BFPP!

My hobbies include camping, hiking, and exploring nature. I love a good movie, show, or book and love them even more when I can discuss them with others. I enjoy writing- particularly poetry. I find joy exploring new mediums with arts and crafts. I love to go on adventures with my friends and spend time with my baby nephew!

This year I am most excited to get to know the BFPP community. Looking forward to meeting you!

-Jess

The certificates improve the student’s college application by adding a unique educational experience, as WSU College of Veterinary Medicine is the first and only educational institution to offer a certificate for veterinary scribes.
