MMS Update
Week of May 4th
Welcome Back!
Greetings MMS Families,
Welcome back! We hope your family had a wonderful, restful Spring Break. Ready or not, May is officially here, and while it is easily one the busiest months of the school year, it is also packed with the most fun! We cannot wait to dive into all the exciting events we have planned for the weeks ahead, but before we get the May madness started, we have two important reminders for this week. First, Monday is the strict deadline to drop off any medications for the upcoming Washington D.C. trip, so please see the dedicated section below for more information to ensure your student is all set. Additionally, NH SAS testing continues this week, which means our students have even more opportunities to earn GRIT tickets and win some fabulous prizes! A huge thank you to all our families for your continued support and for cheering our students on from home.
Thank you all for your support, can you believe it's May?!?!

New Hampshire School Funding Fairness Project
Join the Merrimack School District and the NHSFFP for a one-hour community conversation about how New Hampshire funds its public schools and what that means for local taxpayers and students. This session will break down how the current system works, why it creates unequal tax burdens and opportunities, and what recent court rulings could mean going forward. We’ll share local data, explore the challenges facing the district, and highlight potential paths toward a fairer system.

NH SAS Updates
Our students are preparing to showcase their hard work on the upcoming New Hampshire Statewide Assessment System (NH-SAS), and your support at home is the key to their success. To help them feel confident and focused, please ensure your student gets a good night’s sleep and arrives at school on time with a fully charged Chromebook. Dismissal/Visiting Procedures
In our ongoing effort to increase school security, we have the following procedures when parents/guardians come to our school during school hours. Thank you all for your understanding.
Dismissal - If dismissing a student, we ask that an authorized dismissing parent/guardian show their ID in the foyer, and then wait in that location for the dismissed student to meet you.
Dropping off items - If a parent/guardian is dropping off an item for a student, we ask that they leave it in the designated area in the foyer.
Visiting the school - If parents/guardians are arriving for a scheduled meeting, we ask that they show their ID in the foyer and then sign in at the main office to receive a visitor pass.
