The Weekly Hoot

Our last week of Friday activities for our One School, One Book program was a big hit! It was such a positive afternoon, and I wanted to share some of the highlights with you.

Students had the opportunity to create a "shield of positivity" featuring elements of things they are good at, people who help them, things that make them feel brave, and things that give them courage. We also added to our "Wonder Wall," where students brainstormed ways they can help the community and explored different ways to be kind. Additionally, students made star badges to give to their peers to recognize something those students are good at.

Hopefully, your children came home feeling great about themselves and ready to help those around them.

If your children received Title 1 reading support with Emily Bennett earlier this year, keep an eye out for a summer reading tutoring. The 12 day program will be centrally located at one of ConVal District's schools (the exact location hasn't been determined yet). This is voluntary program but one we hope works for our Title 1 families. Feel welcome to reach out once you receive information.
