It's Another Great Day to be a Tiger!
10/25/2026
It’s hard to believe we have already wrapped up Week 8 of the trimester! Our Tiger Vision Pathways are thriving right now, providing students with valuable hands-on learning and immersion across numerous career fields. We look forward to continuing to expand these opportunities for our students in the future!
Looking ahead to this week, we have an important Senior Meeting this Tuesday in the Recital Hall from 10:25–10:55 AM. Our Jostens representative will be on-site to discuss upcoming deadlines and ordering information for caps and gowns. We encourage all seniors to make every effort to attend. If a student is unable to make it, please have them connect with a peer for details or reach out to the second-floor main office.
Let’s have another great week!
In Community,
Ryan, FHS Principal
P.S. A quick note on how technology supports our work: As we strive to communicate clearly and efficiently with our FHS community, parts of our school newsletters and updates may be polished or organized with the help of Google Gemini. Using AI as a tool helps ensure you receive timely, easy-to-read information throughout the year!
Good News / Celebrations!
FHS Welding Program
We are thrilled to share a major milestone for Farmington High School! Check out these photos of our brand-new welding course in action—the first time FHS has hosted its own dedicated welding program. We are incredibly proud of the hands-on, career-focused experiences this course provides, and it will serve over 60 learners this school year alone.
This incredible opportunity was made possible thanks to the vision and support of many key partners:
Our Community & School Board: Thank you for allocating the funding to invest in our students' futures and make this facility a reality.
Our Industry Partners (BTD, AirGas, and Lincoln Electric): Your support, resources, and collaboration helped turn this dream into a tangible learning space for our students.
Mr. Stauffer: Thank you for the countless hours spent training and preparing to deliver top-tier, daily hands-on instruction.
Our Learners: A big shout-out to our students for taking a leap, trying a brand-new skill, and bringing great energy to the shop every single day!
If you work in the welding field and would like to connect on how you can become involved, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly!
We look forward to expanding this program in the years to come. This is truly our Tiger Vision in action!
Welding Field Trip
Special thanks to Christian Bailey, owner of Air-Lake Machine and Welding in Lakeville, for hosting an engaging tour for Farmington High School welding students! In addition to showing them active projects, tools, and machinery, he shared valuable insights on manufacturing careers, the power of continuous learning, and the importance of a strong work ethic.
FFA Fruit Sales
The Farmington FFA Chapter is currently holding its yearly fruit sale fundraiser! We are offering a variety of high quality fruits along with an assortment of meat and cheese products.
FFA is a dynamic youth organization centered around agriculture that prepares members for leadership, personal growth, and diverse career opportunities across science, business, and technology through hands-on learning.
This fundraiser plays a vital role in supporting our chapter and its operations throughout the school year. The funds raised allow us to provide students with valuable experiences to help them achieve their goals successfully by covering competition fees, transportation costs, educational materials, and keeping costs affordable for membership.

Pickup Information: A pickup day will be scheduled in the first couple weeks of December. Additional details will be shared as they become available.

This year we will be using an online form, similar to last year. Please use this link HERE or scan the QR code to put in an absence for your learner. Please note that a parent email is required! Any absence request coming from a student account will not be processed. We will have this form located on our weekly newsletters as well as on our webpage.
