Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child

It’s that time of year again! The National Honor Society will soon be collecting boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Boxes can be picked up in room 109; however, students may only pick up two boxes at a time. Once those are filled and returned, they can pick up two more.

The first box needs to go to Mrs. Currie’s/Mrs. Hall’s room, and that box will earn you a week of free dress during midterms. You are encouraged to bring more boxes, and each box after the first box will be worth +5 in the major grade category for participating classes.

Please bring all other boxes to the classes where you want extra credit. Remember that only one box is allowed per class for extra credit. NHS members will pick up boxes from participating classes every week to store in the conference room.

All boxes must have a sticky note with the following information to receive credit:

Name

Grade

Free dress box (1st box)

Subject for +5 (all other boxes)

Please note: There are a things that you cannot put in shoe boxes. Soap, candy, food, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, war toys, and toothpaste are not allowed. For the entire list of suggested and prohibited items see:

https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/

Please consider including $10 in your shoebox to help with shipping.

This year our goal is to collect 150 boxes, and we are looking forward to partnering with you to bring joy to children all over the world!

Collection dates: October 13 - November 7

DRESS CODE FOR 2025-2026

The updated dress code policy, which will take effect at the start of the 2025-2026 school year, is available. These changes have been carefully considered to maintain our school's values while ensuring practicality and comfort for our students.

The updated dress code policy includes:

  • A simplified dress code for both elementary and secondary
  • Chapel Dress uniform is no longer required.
  • As a senior privilege, seniors may wear Friday-approved attire every day of the week.

Uniform Items can be purchased at:

  • The Monogram Shop (uniforms) 745 Lindbergh Dr., Beaumont, TX 409-840-9454
    • Gives back 3% of purchases to our school
    • Some items will be in stock, while others will need to be ordered, so everyone is encouraged to purchase in June.
  • Khaki pants or shorts may be purchased at other locations in the "khaki" color
  • BSN Online Sideline Store (for Spirit, P.E., and Sportswear) https://sideline.bsnsports.com/schools/texas/beaumont/legacy-christian-academy
    • Returns 10% of purchases to our school

The complete dress code policy for 2025-2026 is attached for your reference. We kindly ask that you review these guidelines before the new school year begins. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in maintaining our school's standards.
