Welcome Spring!
Dear CFBISD Families,
May is here, and we are so proud of our multilingual learners! This is a meaningful time to celebrate the growth, determination, and confidence our students have built throughout the year. Watching them develop their voices in more than one language has been truly inspiring.
As we move through these final weeks filled with special moments, celebrations, and holidays like Memorial Day. We encourage students to stay focused, attend school each day, and finish strong. Every day is an opportunity to keep learning and growing.
Over the summer, simple moments at home make a big difference. Reading together, sharing stories, and having conversations in both your home language and English help strengthen skills and keep that love of learning alive.
Thank you for being such an important part of your child’s journey. We wish your family a joyful end to the school year and a safe, restful summer!

Graduation Toolkit Available Online
On the Student Resources Page on txel.org, families can find information about high school graduation requirements in Texas. The page includes a link to TEA’s Graduation Toolkit, which explains what students need to earn a high school diploma in the state.
The toolkit describes the graduation programs available to students and the classes they must take. It also explains important tests, such as the STAAR end-of-course exams. Parents and families can learn about endorsements, which are areas of study like STEM, arts, or career programs. The toolkit also outlines steps students should take each year of high school. In addition, the toolkit includes checklists and college and career resources to help families plan for life after high school.
Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD welcomes all students and is committed to fostering an inclusive and safe learning environment. We prioritize educating and protecting all children, regardless of immigration status.
