MESSAGE FROM THE PRINICPAL
Brilliance Families—We Did That!
A huge thank-you to every family who showed up and showed out for attendance this week! Our schoolwide average daily attendance was 92.4%, with seven grade levels exceeding 90%. This is our highest attendance so far this school year, and we have every reason to celebrate!
Let’s keep that momentum going. When scholars are in school, they are learning, leading, and growing toward greatness. Attendance also plays an important role in our school’s overall grade. Every day matters, and your partnership makes a difference.
Benchmark Testing: Tuesday and Wednesday
NWEA testing is complete, and benchmark testing is next week on Tuesday, October 6, and Wednesday, October 7. Please make sure your scholar arrives on time and is ready to learn.
These assessments help us identify what each scholar needs and plan small-group instruction and interventions. When families reach out about extra help, this data helps us determine the right support. We need scholars present so we can gather that information and respond to their needs.
Upcoming Dates and Reminders
No school Friday, October 9. Next week is short and busy, so let’s make every school day count!
Parent-teacher conferences are Monday, October 12, by appointment only. REMINDER THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL DAY FOR KIDS! Please schedule your appointment by Thursday, October 8. We will not accommodate walk-ins.
Please arrive on time for your conference. Appointments are scheduled back to back, and we must respect every family’s time. Arriving late shortens your appointment; it does not extend it into another family’s time. For example, arriving 10 minutes late for a 30-minute conference leaves 20 minutes for your meeting.
Sign up for Trunk or Treat! We look forward to bringing our Brilliance community together for some fall fun.
1000 Ties is back! Calling all dads and mentors: join us at The Brilliance School for an opportunity to connect, encourage our scholars, and celebrate the positive impact of caring adults in their lives. Please register using the link below.
