Supt's Scoop

On September 8, 2023 students, staff and Board Members celebrated the grand opening of the remodeled library at Megan Cope Elementary School. The room is now well-equipped for 21st Century learning and will be used daily by students and regularly for staff and parent meetings.

During the ribbon-cutting event, students demonstrated many of the different learning activities available when visiting the library. It was obvious to all in attendance that this project is “student-approved”!

Congratulations to NMMS student Derek Pineda, for receiving a perfect 2022-2023 CAASPP math test score!

Derek got to shave NMMS Teacher, Mr. Stull's head as a reward!

WELL DONE!!

District and site staff are teaming up to promote attendance and fight chronic absenteeism. Monthly celebrations and trophy presentations will recognize positive attendance winners from three school categories: Elementary, Secondary, and Schools of Choice (SJLA, Hyatt, SJTI).#MustBePresentToWin, #AttendanceIsEveryonesBusiness, #GetYourSelfie2School
