Principal's Message
Due to the potential for winter weather this weekend that MAY impact school next week, all YRES students were sent home today with eLearning activities in their bookbags.
Please review the important reminders below from RHS.
Important Updates:
All Saturday and Sunday school events have been canceled.
If school is closed due to weather, students will transition to eLearning.
A decision regarding school closure for Monday will be made no later than 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Families can expect updates via email, text message, phone calls, social media, and our website. While this may feel like a lot of communication, our goal is to ensure no one misses important or time-sensitive information, especially if this weather event extends into additional days.
eLearning Information:
Teachers will communicate eLearning expectations by 9:00 a.m.
Teacher Office Hours: Teachers will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to answer questions and support students. This is not live instruction, but a designated time for students to connect with teachers using their usual communication methods.
Make-Up Work: In the event of power outages or limited device access, students will have five (5) school days to complete eLearning assignments once school resumes.
We encourage families to monitor local media outlets and follow York County Emergency Management on social media for important safety tips and the most up-to-date information related to the storm.
The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we navigate this weather event together.
More updates to come — please stay safe and warm.
