🇺🇸 Military Appreciation Week
Next week, Pflugerville ISD is proud to celebrate Military Appreciation Week, honoring the veterans, active-duty service members and military families in our community.
Throughout the week, campuses across PfISD will be joining in the celebration with their own activities and opportunities to recognize our military community. Families are encouraged to keep an eye out for information from their campus about how students and staff will be participating throughout the week!
As part of the celebration, join us for our Military Appreciation Football Game on Friday, October 2, at The Pfield, featuring Hendrickson High School vs. Connally High School.
🎖️ Veterans are invited to stop by the Team Store starting at 6 p.m. for complimentary refreshments and to receive one free ticket to the game.
We look forward to celebrating together and showing our appreciation for those who have served!
📚 Upcoming PSAT/NMSQT Testing for PfISD Students
PSAT testing is coming up this October for PfISD students in grades 8–11!
All PfISD middle schools will administer the PSAT 8/9 during the week of October 5, while high school campuses will administer the PSAT/NMSQT between October 5–30. Families should contact their student’s campus for the specific testing date.
The PSAT is more than preparation for the SAT. Students can use their results to identify academic strengths and areas for growth, access free Khan Academy practice resources, and explore careers, colleges and scholarships through College Board’s BigFuture platform. For 11th-grade students, the PSAT/NMSQT is also the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

The FAQ page includes information about test preparation, National Merit, AP course recommendations, college planning and parent guides in English and Spanish.
For questions about your student’s specific test day, please contact your campus PSAT administrator.
