The Big Cross Connection

We have been moving right along here at Big Cross Street Elementary. Please see this newsletter for all of the wonderful items your students have been engaging in! Thank you to all that attended our PTA meeting this past Tuesday night.

A few items to note:

-Report Cards will be put in the mail on Friday, December 13. Please give a few days for it to get to you due to the volume of mail.

-Holiday Break this year begins on: Monday, December 23 and students will be back in school on Monday, January 6. Students will be well rested as it is a long one this year.

* Monday: Holiday sweater or shirt, etc

* Tuesday: Holiday hat or headband

* Wednesday: Dress Comfy Day

* Thursday: Festive flannel, plaid, etc

* Friday: PJ Day

-Friday, 20: Big Cross Character Strong Ceremony and School Sing-A-Long

We had a nice turnout for our meeting this past Tuesday night. Next month's meeting will be on Tuesday, January 14 at 6 p.m. It will be VIRTUAL for this month. A link will be sent out and posted in Parent Square as we get closer to the date. We will discuss the rest of this year's fundraisers and more. We would love to have you!

I am writing to inform you that the school will conduct a required emergency

response drill within the next week. Before our drill, staff will talk to students

about procedures, explain what to do, and why their actions are important. After

the drill, staff will reassure students that they are safe. This drill is conducted to

ensure that, in the unlikely event of a dangerous situation, our school community

is prepared and knows how to stay safe.
