A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

It's MAY already! Where has this school year gone? We are getting geared up for many events during May and June. We had a great kick-off to the busy spring season last Thursday, with the PTA Family Fun Night and Barbeque! It was a very well-attended and fun event. Thanks to Sean Coughtrie, who acted as grill master, and to Mrs. Michaud for preparing and playing with our performing musicians. I'm sure this will become a new tradition here at PES.

On Thursday and Friday of this week, students will attend a variety of presentations by Chewonki. Each session will be tailored to the individual grade level and will last about an hour. Also this week, 5th grade students will make their second trip out to the vernal pools. Students will observe a variety of breeding habitats for wildlife, including salamanders and frogs.

Please be sure to check the Log for the list of upcoming events and field trips.

Finally, please join us at Friday morning's PTA meeting. Your PTA provides students with many enriching activities and could always use volunteers. Many hands make light work! Thanks for your support.
