Academy Avenue Elementary School

Dear Academy Families & Friends,

May continues to move faster and faster and now June is just around the bend. This is such a busy time of the year, please be sure to update your calendars with all the different events coming soon to Academy.

• First and foremost, thank you to all the families that made the International Festival and Lip Sync events both outstanding successes. These two events are such great experiences for our students, so to do them both in the same week was incredible.
• Field day is on Thursday, June 8-Mr. Murphy needs volunteers-please use this gForm to sign up. There are full day and half day options and need your help.
• Artist Timmy Sneaks joined the Academy and Murphy 5th grade classes for a super-sized Art project in the Academy gym this past Friday. Ms. Ratta's art students had studied the artist's work and techniques earlier in the school year and got to spend the afternoon working with him. He also shared some insight about how it all happened. Thank you to Ms. Ratta for an outstanding opportunity.
• Our first graders had an assembly with Amy and Chris from the Weymouth Public Libraries.
• More pictures of these events can be found at our social media sites. Enjoy!

Thank you for your continued support!
