Dear Families,
Happy New Year! It was so fun welcoming everyone back today. I hope you had a restful break 💚
Important updates:
- Late applications for Christine Donnell (2026–2027) open tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7. More info: Schools of Choice | West Ada School District
- We’ll host a school tour for interested incoming families on Wednesday, January 14 at 4:30 PM.
- Parent input form for next year will appear in my March newsletter and will be accepted March 2–13 (before Spring Break).
- Next week you’ll receive your child’s semester report card by email. It will show progress on standards taught and assessed in 1st Semester (before Winter Break). Report cards are emailed to Contact 1 and Contact 2 listed on the Household tab in PowerSchool - these should be the student’s legal guardians. Instructions to update email addresses: PowerSchool Resources | West Ada School District.
- 2026-2027 Open Enrollment Transfer Applications will be available Wednesday, January 7. Open Enrollment Information | West Ada School District
- All students earned their next reward for excellent behavior in specials! Friday, January 9th, will be Crazy Hair Day at CDSA. Students will now be working towards a GLO dance party!

Long-Term Substitute Needed for 2nd Grade
We are currently looking for a caring and enthusiastic long-term substitute to teach in one of our 2nd grade classrooms from the end of February for approximately 6-12 weeks. - January 28 - No School - Professional Learning Day
- January 29 - 1st Grade Music Program for parents at 2:50
