GO SECOND GRADE!!! HELP US WIN!!!!
I&I Experiment / Allergies
Hello Parents of Second Grade Students!
The week of October 7th, students will be conducting a science experiment which will require students touching both store bought playdough as well as playdough created in the classroom using flour, salt, and water. If your child has an allergen to playdough products or flour, please notify Nurse Amber via email at amber.torres@pisd.edu. In your email notification, please include your child’s name, teacher, allergen concern, and if your child is able to participate and requires gloves OR if your child should NOT participate. Nurse Amber will then share this information with grade level teachers. Thank you!
P.S. We will need a parent helper to prep this project, so keep an eye out on VOLY if you are available 😄

MAP and Conferences
Please be on the lookout for your child's Ocelots MAP scores. These results offer valuable insights into each student's learning progress and inform the next steps for instructional delivery. Attached are details on how to interpret your child's data.
During parent-teacher conferences, your child's teacher will discuss their strengths and areas for growth in greater detail. If you would like a digital copy of this information, please inform your child's teacher.
We look forward to collaborating with you to create the best plan for your child as they continue to make progress this school year.

Connect to Seesaw
Seesaw is a student-driven digital portfolio. Seesaw empowers students of any age to create, reflect, collaborate and share. Families have been invited to Seesaw to stay in the loop about their child’s learning, and easily communicate between school and home. This optional if you are interested in receiving reminders or seeing your Ocelot's seesaw digital portfolio of work.
