Staff SHOUT-OUT!

HUGE SHOUT-OUT to the following people:

MeLinda Cromer in the area of Integrity & Accountability! Mallory says, "She has helped me so much with being gone this last week!"

Kelly Willis, Tucker Tejkl, and Heather Thompson in the area of Service! Jen Topil says, "Thank you for jumping in and subbing so I could take Brooklynn to the ER and to get her cast the next day! Thanks for everyone's flexibility on Friday when it messed up your schedule due to no media class."

Heather Thompson in the area of Service!! Kate says, "You have been helping out and filling in for everyone when we have been short staffed! You are helping us all out by helping us get subs or by being a sub yourself. Thank you!"

Kelly Willis in the area of Accountability & Service!! One staff member says, "Kelly has gone above and beyond with helping to organize our weekly fluency checks. She has been working hard to help all of our students that she sees daily in Title, but also to make sure teachers all have the supplies to progress monitor students in our own room. I appreciate all of the extra time and effort that Kelly has been putting into preparing us teachers, and to ultimately, prepare our students for success! Thanks Kelly!"

Thank you ALL for being such shining examples of what we strive for here at S-RC!!

If you see a teacher or staff member who is doing something phenomenal, please CLICK HERE to fill out our Staff Shout-Out form. I will use this form to recognize the amazing things happening in our building by all of YOU!

International Dot Day!!

The Dot by Peter Reynolds is one of my all time favorite books. The Dot is the story of a young girl who is inspired by a teacher to trust in her own abilities to be brave and make her mark. What happens next becomes a journey of self-confidence and discovery. It is a great story to share with kids of all ages. Every year on or around September 15, fans of this story come together to celebrate International Dot Day. This year, Flipgrid is joining the celebration by hosting The Dot author, Peter Reynolds for a Flipgrid Live event. Your students can join and ask questions and learn from Peter and other students from around the world about celebrating creativity and making their mark. This Flipgrid Live event takes place on Monday, September 15 at 12pm CST. Register here.
