Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope each of you has enjoyed a summer filled with rest, laughter, and special moments with family and friends. While it's hard to believe, we have just two weeks left of summer break, and our Cougar Cub team is eagerly preparing to welcome everyone back to campus for another incredible year of learning, growth, and success.
To our amazing staff, thank you for the dedication, heart, and passion you bring to Fort Sam Houston Elementary. Your commitment to our students and families is what makes our school such a special place. I can't wait to welcome everyone back and begin another year of making a difference together.
To our families, we are excited to reconnect with returning Cougar Cubs and welcome our newest families to the FSHE community! We have several opportunities over the next two weeks to help your family feel prepared and excited for the first day of school.

Exciting Campus Update
We are also excited to share that construction on our new playground is moving along nicely! Each week brings visible progress, and we can't wait for our students to enjoy this exciting addition to our campus. We appreciate your patience as construction continues, and we'll keep families updated as we get closer to completion.
As we count down these final two weeks of summer, enjoy every moment together. Read a favorite book, make a few more family memories, and start getting those bedtime routines back in place. We are ready to welcome our Cougar Cubs back for a year filled with learning, laughter, and limitless possibilities.
Thank you for partnering with us in your child's education. Together, we'll make the 2026–2027 school year our best one yet!
