NOVEMBER

Forest Elementary Newsletter NOVEMBER
Forest Elementary Newsletter NOVEMBER

Forest families,

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know it does not seem like it could be, but we only have four more weeks until our holiday break. However, there is still a lot of learning to do. We also have a number of fun events planned for December as well.

Please remember our primary form of communication is either text/email blasts and Schoology. If you do not have Forest Elementary listed as one of your groups in Schoology you are not receiving important information. Add group code X685-T2NZ-5PVHB to make sure you are not missing out on important school information.

As the weather cools down, please make sure that your child comes to school properly dressed for the weather. Layering is a good option, as we know the mornings are cool and the afternoons can get a bit warmer (at least right now). Also, make sure your child brings cold weather gear such as gloves, hats, ear muffs, scarves, etc. as we enter into December. They will be going outside for recess up to three times per day. We want them to be prepared for the coldest days that seem to have arrived.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, call the office at (734) 479-2550 or email myself (gmeli@riverviewschools.com) or Ms. Annie (aprusakiewicz@riverviewschools.com).

Happy Fall!

Gianina Meli

Forest Elementary students go all out for the STEAM Thanksgiving Parade

The first annual Forest STEAM Thanksgiving Parade was held on Tuesday, November 21st. Fourth and Fifth grade students spent weeks creating floats out of recycled materials in their STEAM classes. Students then dressed up in clothes to coordinate with their float theme. Floats made their way through the halls of Forest Elementary for the younger students to see. It was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. Special thanks to Mrs. Gajewski for coordinating the parade for all to see.
