Christie Nation Families,

What a fantastic first week of school! Our students and staff have worked incredibly hard to establish routines, learn expectations, and build a strong start to the year. We are so proud of how our Christie Nation has come together!

We also want to thank you for your continued patience and partnership during dismissal. Our process is running more smoothly each day, and we are seeing improvements in our efficiency as our students and staff become more familiar with the routines.

One of our top priorities during dismissal is keeping our students and staff safe and limiting their exposure to the extreme Texas heat. We are closely monitoring the amount of time our staff and students spend outside, particularly as temperatures rise. Heat exhaustion and dehydration are very real concerns, and we want to be proactive in protecting everyone.

Once all of our staff have reported inside, our team transitions to a process where car tags are collected and matched with students so that students can be handed off directly to their families. We understand that this may look a little different from what some families are accustomed to, and we recognize that it can feel more formal or less personal. Please know that this process is intentional. It allows us to get our staff out of the heat while still ensuring that every student is safely matched with the correct family.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to fine-tune dismissal. Our goal is always safety firstβ€”while getting everyone home as efficiently as possible.

Mrs. Wilson

Profile of a Learning Leader

Introducing the Profile of a Learning Leader

The Prosper ISD Profile of a Learning Leader represents a shared, unified vision created through the collaborative efforts of our entire school community β€” including teachers, staff, administrators, students, parents, and community partners across the district. This foundational document captures the core attributes, values, and mindsets we strive to cultivate in every member of the Prosper ISD family. Serving as our guiding star, it embodies the leadership and learning aspirations we hold for everyone within our system, fostering growth, excellence, and continuous improvement from our youngest learners all the way to the superintendent.

This profile didn't start from scratch β€” it grew directly out of our 2025–2030 Strategic Priorities, which were themselves built through months of listening to teachers, students, families, and staff across the district. Once those four pillars β€” Together We Champion, Together We Cultivate, Together We Empower, and Together We Prosper β€” were set, small groups from across Prosper ISD came together again to answer a more personal question: what does it actually look like, day to day, for a student or an employee to live out these priorities? The Profile of a Learning Leader is the answer.

At Dan Christie Elementary, this profile is more than just a set of ideals β€” it is an active, daily practice. As a campus community, we are dedicated to intentionally teaching, reinforcing, and building upon these core characteristics in all that we do. Whether through instructional practices, collaborative leadership, or daily interactions, we ensure that every student, educator, and staff member is supported in developing these traits. By embedding the Profile of a Learning Leader into our school culture, we create a supportive environment where every individual can achieve excellence every day in every way.

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

🫢 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
