E2 Teams vs Teachers and MTA's Penny Wars
The E2 teams will go head up with the teachers and MTA's in a pumpkin decorating challenge. Please bring in your decorated pumpkins this week. We will compete in a Penny Wars battle. All funds raised will be donated to the E2 Sherman Lake Fund. Pennies and dollar bills collected for pumpkins will accumulate funds. Silver coins will decrease the funds.
No Students on Wednesday, October 22 - Professional Development
There is no school for students on Wednesday, October 22. All teachers and MTA's will report to Northglade at 8 am. Please come in about 7:45 because we will be having breakfast. Teachers will meet with me in the library until 11 am.
Be on the lookout for a sign up sheet from Mrs. Crigger regarding the potluck for lunch.
MTA's will have work that their teachers have left for them to complete.
Teachers will then go to Loy Norrix for the pm training. Specials teachers may be at various locations.
Teachers must be at their second location at 12 pm.
Here is the full list of sessions, their detailed descriptions, and the lead administrator. Teachers should reach out to the administrator listed with specific session questions.
SIPs, M-STEP, & MI-Access - for conferences
The SIP tiles in Illuminate have now been updated. Please make sure that SIPs are completed, printed, and shared with parents at conferences or sent home.
FastBridge Family Reports also need to be printed and shared at conferences or sent home.
M-STEP and MI-Access reports should be shared at conferences or sent home.
Progress reports (same thing as a report card) can be printed for conferences if desired. There is no hard date here as teachers can print them whenever. All teachers should be putting assignments into the gradebook regularly (at least one new assignment every 2 weeks). If these are not printed, gradebooks should still be referenced and parents should be provided with support on installing the app so that they can regularly check grades.
The Illuminate tile for reporting conferences is also now updated.
Trunk or Treat - Friday, Oct. 24 from 5:30 -6:30
Our 3rd Annual Northglade Trunk or Treat
will take place on Friday, October 24th from 5:30-6:30pm.
Come in costume to collect candy & have fun!
We need volunteers for this event!
If you are interested in decorating your trunk & handing out candy,
donating candy, passing out cider & donuts, or helping with set-up or clean-up, please sign up HERE.
Thank you!!
If you decorate your trunk, you do not have to provide your own candy. Candy is provided by the PTO and donations. If you would like to donate candy for this event, it can be dropped off in the office.
