Principal's Message
Hola Scotties! Feliz dia del nino! We had the best day celebrating our students. Ms. Selam and Ms. Monica did an amazing job planning and presenting our international multicultural fashion show! Students also had lots of fun with their buddies. Make sure to ask your student about their favorite part of the day. We are in the middle of testing season, and I wanted to share how impressed I am with our students. They have been working so very hard, and it is truly wonderful to see them taking their time and giving their absolute best effort on every task. Thank you for all you are doing at home to keep them encouraged and ready to shine! We are excited to celebrate the amazing people who help make our school a home. We will be hosting a volunteer social on May 22nd to say thank you for the enormous impact you have on our community. Please take a look at the details in the invite below and kindly RSVP so we can make sure there are plenty of refreshments for everyone to enjoy. As we look toward the end of the year, I want to share a heartfelt tribute to Celeste Grover, who is wrapping up her four-year journey as our PTA president. Celeste has been such a bright light in our school, leading with a spirit of collaboration and advocacy that has touched us all. From her hands-on dedication to delivering weekend food bags to her vision in creating the Scott Family Resiliency Fund, she has worked tirelessly to make sure our families are cared for. We are so grateful for her leadership and the deep kindness she has brought to our community. Finally, a brief update regarding staffing for next year. I am going to continue holding off on sharing any specific updates for the time being, as the school board has not yet adopted the final budget and HR is still working through the layoff process. I want to be as respectful as possible to our staff members, as there could still be changes and impacts while these processes evolve. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these next steps together. I continue to be optimistic about our staffing allocations for the coming year and will share as much detail as I can in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in service our of community! Warmly, Tiana Ahmann

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
Staff Appreciation Week | May 4–8
Let's make this the best Staff Appreciation Week yet! We have lots of ways to celebrate our amazing teachers — and we need your help to make it happen! We're also looking for volunteers to lead each day's activity, so reach out if you're interested!
Sunday — Chalk art & messages before the week begins. Gather a group and head to the school Sunday evening to cover the walkways with encouraging messages and drawings. A cheerful way to start the week!
Monday — Deliver a handwritten note to a teacher. Simple, meaningful, and always appreciated.
Tuesday — Help clean and stock the staff lounge with snacks and drinks!
Wednesday — Make or purchase an item for the staff lunch. We’ll need help setting up and cleaning up.
Thursday — Teacher raffle–a staff favorite! Have something to donate? Know a local business that might contribute a gift card or service? Have time to help with donation outreach? We'd love your support!
Friday — Coffee cart! A Scott School classic!
Signup Genius for food and drink donations coming later this month!
