March 26, 2026

Dear Winnona Park Community,

We are pleased to share that your child's Spring progress report is now available in the Parent Portal. Please note that this report card represents a mid-semester snapshot of your child's academic progress and does not reflect final grades. Teachers will continue to update grades and provide feedback throughout the remainder of the year as learning continues.

We encourage you to review the report card with your child, celebrate their accomplishments, and discuss any areas where additional support may be helpful. Ongoing communication among families, students, and teachers is an important part of supporting student success.

If you have questions or concerns about your child's progress, please don't hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or school administration. We are committed to partnering with you to support your child's growth and learning.

Directions for accessing grades in the Parent Portal are on page 23 of the Grading and Reporting Handbook.

Sincerely,

Gregory Wiseman

Principal, Winnona Park Elementary School

Hop On Over: Free Easter Egg Hunt Courtesy of Our Gold Sponsor!

Our gold sponsor, Tara Pesta Real Estate / Keller Knapp Realty, is hosting a free Easter Egg Hunt at Legacy Park (500 S. Columbia Dr.) on Saturday, March 28th starting at 10AM, and they'd love to see Winnona Park families there! The egg hunt kicks off at 10:30AM sharp and is divided by age group (0-3 and 4+), so every little one gets a fair shot at the goods. The Spring Bunny will be on site for photos, and there will be donuts, coffee, juice boxes, raffles, and giveaways.

Want to contribute? Families are encouraged to drop off a dozen stuffed eggs (candy, stickers, etc.) per attending child at Keller Knapp Realty Oakhurst, 715 E. Lake Dr., by Friday, March 20th. Note on the package if they're suited for the 0-3 group. After the hunt, stick around and picnic in the park! This is a wonderful community event put on by sponsors who genuinely invest in our school, so let's show up and celebrate spring together.

Calling All Future Tigers! TigerFest is Coming March 28!

If your Winnona Park student is headed to Talley Street Upper Elementary, here's your chance to check out their future school AND have a blast doing it! Talley's 5th-Annual TigerFest carnival fundraiser welcomes the whole community, and Winnona Park families are especially encouraged to come. Kids' tickets include live music from 4 bands, 8+ carnival games with prizes, and 2 bounce houses. Adults and children under 2 are free with advance registration. Food trucks, concessions, and a spiritwear tent will also be on-site for additional purchase.

The event takes place on the field behind Talley, with entry from the parking lot. Plan to park off-site and walk in, as the lot is reserved for vendors, bands, and volunteers. It's a fantastic way to support a school your family may soon call home and get your Tiger pride started early!

TigerFest is March 28 from 11 am - 3 pm. Full details on the Talley PTO website.
