#Puma Viking Pride!
October 17, 2026
Dear IJAVVE Families,
The messages we tell ourselves matter. They shape how we see ourselves and what we believe we can achieve. As families and educators, we can help our children recognize their strengths, believe in their potential, and know they belong.
Our theme, Believe. Belong. Grow., reminds us that every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Celebrating Together This Week: This week, we will highlight three meaningful themes at IJAVVE:
- College Week: We will encourage students to dream big, explore their interests, and imagine the possibilities ahead. Every child has potential, and the encouragement we give today can help shape tomorrow.
- United Against Hate Week: We will remind students that everyone deserves kindness, respect, and a sense of belonging. Our words and actions can help create a community where everyone feels welcome.
- Filipino American History Month: We celebrate the history, culture, contributions, and stories of Filipino Americans. This is an opportunity for students to learn about the diverse communities that help shape our world and recognize the value of every culture and story.
Families, you can help by talking with your children about their dreams, celebrating your familyβs heritage and traditions, and encouraging them to show kindness and stand up for others.
A Question for Our Families:
What is one way your family can encourage your child to believe in themselves, appreciate others, and celebrate the stories and cultures that make our community special?
Thank you for being an important part of our IJAVVE community. Together, we can help every child Believe. Belong. Grow.
School Year Theme: Together, we believe in every child, cultivate belonging, and grow in community.
