Attendance Update - Every Day Counts
Well done to the 369 children who had 100% attendance this week.
This week's attendance is 95.7% which is a little below last week's.
This year's attendance so far - 96.3%
Reception & KS1 class of the week was 2R with 99.7% attendance!
KS2 class of the week is 6CG with 98.5% attendance!
Your child's attendance is now shown on the new version of Marvellous Me for Year 1 to Year 6 children. Please note that a session is a half day so, if it says your child has been absent for 4 sessions, this is 2 full days.
School Council
A huge well done to all the children who put themselves forward for this year's School Council elections. We have been incredibly impressed by the confidence, enthusiasm and ideas shared by all candidates. The election results will be announced on Monday. Good luck to everyone who took part, and thank you to all pupils who cast their votes.
Year 1 local walk
This week, Year 1 went on a local walk along Wrose Road to investigate what shops are near our school and what services they provide. They loved sharing their knowledge and observations as they walked. When they returned to school, they then created their own maps of Wrose Road. Well done Year 1 for being excellent representatives of our school in the local community.
Poppy Appeal
To mark this year’s Remembrance Day and support the Royal British Legion, we will be selling a range of fundraising items, including paper poppies, reflector poppies, wristbands and pencils.
Pupils will be able to purchase these items at break time from Monday 2nd November. Children in Nursery and Reception will have the opportunity to purchase items during the school day.
If you would like to support this worthy cause, any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Academisation Consultation
A reminder that, from Wednesday 11th November, we will begin a formal consultation with parents regarding the proposed academisation of Low Ash Primary School. As part of this process, we will be holding two information sessions for parents and carers on 11th November, at 9.15am and 2.00pm, led by Duncan Jacques, CEO of Exceed Academies Trust, and Ruth Jarvis, COO of Exceed Academies Trust. These sessions will provide an opportunity to learn more about the proposal, ask questions and share your views.

Consultation Evening - thank you
Thank you to everyone who attended this week's parent and carer consultation sessions. We really value the opportunity to meet with you, celebrate your child's successes and discuss how we can continue to support their learning and development together.
We would also like to thank all parents and carers who took the time to complete our parent questionnaire. Your feedback is incredibly important and helps us to reflect on what is working well and identify areas where we can continue to improve. We were delighted with the high level of engagement and are grateful for your continued support of the school.
Working in partnership with our families is at the heart of what we do, and we appreciate the time, feedback and encouragement you provide. Thank you for being such an important part of the Low Ash community. We will feedback the results of the survey once we have reviewed them and discussed follow-up actions.
If you have not had a chance to complete the questionnaire then please scan the QR code above or click on the link here.

Sport
We played another fantastic fixture against Blakehill Primary this week. The girls have been pushing themselves at break times, lunch times and after school clubs and got to show how hard they have been working. The smiles on their faces show how much they enjoyed the game.
A big thank you to Blakehill as always. These fixtures are competitive, but played in great spirit.
This week we also had girls and boys taking part in the Bradford Country Finals at Marley stadium. They all did amazingly with everybody finishing their races. A special mention to Hannah in year 4 who came home in 1st place in the year 4 girls' race. This is such an amazing achievement and everybody at Low Ash is extremely proud of her.

Online Safety
This week, you will find a guide on the safe use of AI Companions.
AI companion apps and virtual chatbots such as Character.ai, Snapchat My AI, Replika and Talkie, allow users to create, customise, and chat to synthetic avatars around the clock. While many young people use them for entertainment, creative writing or homework help, these tools are designed to simulate genuine human empathy, emotional bonding and friendship.
