It's a great day to be a Carl Sandburg Family Member

It’s a great day to be a Carl Sandburg Middle School family member! As we return from Winter Break, it’s a great time to help students ease back into their daily routines. Getting a good night’s sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, and arriving at school ready to learn all make a big difference in how students feel and perform throughout the day. This is also a wonderful opportunity to start (or reset) positive habits around organization, time management, and keeping up with schoolwork. Consistent routines at home and school help students feel confident, focused, and ready for success as we begin the new year together.

Students will return to school on Tuesday, following our Teacher Institute Day on Monday, and we are looking forward to a great 2026.

Let’s make it a great start to 2026, Tigers and Tiger Families!

Dr. Andrew Vondran
