We are honored to be asked again for third year, to present to the Doctorate students at University of Michigan Flint, EDL 700, about our program here in Swartz Creek. Mindsets and the Seat Time Waiver, the process, Perils, Pitfalls,and Promise is the title of the presentation.

Our Hub Students will be on a panel to answer questions of how this non-traditional method of education supports their quest for a high school diploma and beyond.

We will be hosted by Dr. Pam Ross, Dr. Mary Jo Finney and Dr. Barbara F. Cherem.

SCGLH Student Ambassadors @ University of Michigan Flint

We will meet as a team at the Swartz Creek Academy on Saturday December 7, 2013 @ 2:30 PM Then we will drive to French Hall on the University of Michigan Flint Campus. Our presentation runs from 4:00 - 5:00 PM.

We will have permission slips to be signed if you are not going to be traveling on your own.

Dr. Jeff Pratt

Dr. Pratt, retired superintendent from Swartz Creek, was the visionary to bring the Seat Time Waiver to Swartz Creek Community Schools in 2010. His foresight and vision has paved the way for the program we have today. He then became a professor at University of Michigan Flint and asked me to present on the Seat Time Waiver and the implementation on a district level. This is linage of how we have been invited to such an esteemed experience.
