Student Voice Thursday
We value our students and their voice. Every day, we have a morning meeting in our classroom. It is a time to connect and check in as well as talk about the day ahead. We acknowledge that the heart is as important as the smarts at school. Morning meetings happen district wide.
On Thursdays, our Rosedale community focuses on hearing about our students. This is in conjunction with Oregon State Social Studies standards and the Every Student Belongs act. Our focus in September has been on identity - what do we love to do, what are our personality traits, what are our core values, who is a part of our family. We have read books, done activities, and had discussions. A strong community learns about each other and respects each other. As we move into October, we will be learning about each of our names. We are known by our names and some of us have strong connections or stories about where our names came from. We are so happy to have your student's voice at our school! Our staff and I welcome hearing your voice, too.
Jueves de Voz Estudiantil
Valoramos a nuestros estudiantes y su voz. Todos los días, tenemos una reunión matutina en nuestro salón de clases. Es un momento para conectarse y registrarse, así como para hablar sobre el día que viene. Reconocemos que el corazón es tan importante como la inteligencia en la escuela. Las reuniones matutinas ocurren en todo el distrito.
Los jueves, nuestra comunidad de Rosedale se enfoca en escuchar sobre nuestros estudiantes. Esto está en conjunto con los estándares de Estudios Sociales del Estado de Oregon y la ley Every Student Belongs. Nuestro enfoque en septiembre ha estado en la identidad: qué nos encanta hacer, cuáles son nuestros rasgos de personalidad, cuáles son nuestros valores fundamentales, quién es parte de nuestra familia. Leímos libros, hicimos actividades y tuvimos discusiones. Una comunidad fuerte aprende unos de otros y se respeta. Too Sick for School
Please review these documents if you have questions about your child coming to school if they don't feel well. Keeping students and staff healthy is a priority. We are wearing masks, social distancing, and washing/sanitizing our hands to help.
Demasiado enfermo para la escuela

Birthday Treats
At Rosedale, we appreciate and celebrate every student. We recognize that each family in our community has different beliefs, celebrations, and traditions. Sometimes we celebrate the same things and sometimes we celebrate different things and sometimes we choose not to celebrate. For those who do celebrate, we recognize and honor them with our words. In an effort to honor all beliefs, we are asking that you do not send birthday treats (edible or non edible) to school. We appreciate you following this guideline. Golosinas De Cumpleaños
En Rosedale, apreciamos y celebramos a cada estudiante. Reconocemos que cada familia en nuestra comunidad tiene diferentes creencias, celebraciones y tradiciones.
