Welcome to a new school year as Tuesday, August 26th is our first day of school! We are excited to welcome our students and families back. We will send home a packet full of information with your student on the first day, with all of this information and more, but before then, we wanted to highlight some of the most important information so we are ready for the first day.

First, on the first few days of school, please rest assured our staff has all hands on deck when students arrive and throughout the day to make sure everyone gets where they need to, eats lunch, and gets home--the first few weeks, dismissal may run longer as we make sure everyone is where they need to be.

In addition to the district/school website, we also have website designed for families with frequently asked questions about lunch prices and school schedules, as well as school specific information hubs and community flyers, that can be found here: https://parent.londonderry.org/ Also, we invite you to the Londonderry Elementary Schools Facebook group where we will share out reminders, events, and all the amazing teaching and learning happening across our elementary schools.

Please know staff at North School care deeply about your student, and we take pride in partnering with families to best support and help our students grow. We are all excited to welcome our students and families back to North School.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Pick Up Patrol App Pick Up Patrol App

We use the “App” "Pick Up Patrol" to run dismissal and whatever is listed for student dismissal is where we make sure they are. You will receive an email from PUP on Monday, and every family needs to enter their Default Plan (Bus #, Y, Pick Up) by the first day of school (NONE CARRY OVER FROM LAST YEAR). This is the most important thing that needs to be done before the year starts.

Morning and Afternoon Dismissal Procedures Morning and Afternoon Dismissal Procedures

Morning Bus Arrival/Parent Drop Off

School starts at 8:42.

There are two lanes entering North School. Busses and Staff will enter the driveway on the left side and proceed to the front of the school.

Parents should arrive at North School by taking Clark Road and making their way along Sanborn Road. From here, parents will enter the driveway to the right and will stay to the right continuing around the back of the school. Follow the flow of traffic through the playground to the back entrance and wait for a staff member to signal your student(s) can exit your vehicle.

Students may be dropped off out back from 8:30-8:42 am.

Afternoon Bus/Parent Dismissal

School ends at 3:13pm.

Please reach out to Mrs. Rudy (srudy@londonderry.org) with any questions regarding dismissals or with the app, Pick Up Patrol. We have added this app in place of sending in notes as you will be able to enter all of your student(s) pick up information through the app, and it will eliminate having to handle notes and phone calls in the office. If you are picking up, please note who will be picking up your child in the Pick Up Patrol app. If we do not recognize who you are or the app isn’t used correctly, please don’t take offense when we ask for identification. The security of your child is of utmost importance to us.

In the afternoon for parent pick up, starting at 3:00, parents can enter the driveway using the right lane and proceed to the playground where a staff member will greet you and enter your arrival. Student dismissal to parents will begin at 3:13pm and the gate will open at 3:00pm allowing parents behind the school.

Dismissal Procedure -During the School Day

Please use the Pick Up Patrol app for any early dismissals when your child needs to be dismissed during the school hours. We will not be able to accommodate any dismissals from 2:45-3:13 so please plan accordingly.

Late Arrival/Absences

Pick Up Patrol is also used for late arrivals and absences and can be entered accordingly.

Electronic Devices at North School Electronic Devices at North School

During the school day, there are many opportunities for students to engage and utilize technology. When technology is needed, we are able to provide our students with the appropriate technology, whether it be computers or tablets. As a result, there is no need for students to bring in electronic devices (cell phones, tablets, iPods) to the classrooms. For those students that do decide to bring electronic devices to school, the expectation during the school day, including recess, is that all personal electronic devices will be turned off and kept in the child’s backpack.
