Extra Clothing
Hello Eastside families! As we move into spring, the melty snow and rainy weather can create some messy conditions on the playground. Please ensure your student has extra clothes at school, especially socks and pants, so they have something dry to change into if needed.
Notes from the Health Office
Eastside's Health office is located next to the main office and Nurse Emily McCabe's phone number is 608-834-7406.
If your student has prescription medicine that needs to be administered during school hours, please send signed doctor orders in. This also applies to inhalers.

Parent/Caregiver Guide to Literacy
We want every child to learn to read, write, and communicate at or above their grade level by the end of the 3rd grade. Parents and caregivers are important partners in this process. We’ve worked with CESA 6 to provide you with this “Parent/Caregiver Guide to Early Literacy” in both English and Spanish. The guide provides important information about language and literacy development in young children and ways that parents and caregivers can provide valuable learning experiences outside of school that align with the work educators and students are doing in school. Please check it out and if you have questions please contact your child’s teacher.
4K Registration- Now Open
Students must turn 4 on or before September 1, 2025. Classes are Monday through Friday, morning or afternoon session and transportation is available. To register, please go to the 4K enrollment page at https://www.sunprairieschools.org/sp4k/enroll. Call the 4K office at 608-478-5145 with any questions you may have.

Tip Line Entry
New Electronic Safety Tip Line
The safety and security of our students and staff is a top priority for the district. We have been teaching our students to say something to a trusted adult when they see something unsafe. Sometimes, though, there are barriers to reporting safety issues in person. Tip lines are one common approach that schools use to promote school and student safety and well-being. Tip lines are designed to provide students or other members of the public with a safe and confidential way to report a threat to a student or school safety.
To that end, we have created an Electronic Safety Tip Line available on the district website. The e-Tip Line allows students, parents, or community members to report weapons, threats of violence, bullying, sexual harassment, threat of suicide, drugs, and any other activity that could potentially endanger students, staff, and property.
We are developing a communication plan to roll this out to students in upper elementary, middle school, and high school. The e-Tip Line is available on the district website from the “Families” menu and “Quicklinks” and can also be found on the district bullying and safety webpages. If a student wishes to file a bullying report, please fill out a Bullying Report Form on the website.
