🌟 Celebrating Excellence in Teaching 🌟
We also want to give a special shout-out to our other Teacher of the Year finalists:
Mr. James Boulware, Health & Sports Medicine teacher, whose energy and encouragement motivate students to push toward excellence.
Dr. Tara Mitchell, Health Science teacher, whose mentorship and passion for building future healthcare leaders shine in everything she does.
Each of these outstanding educators embodies what it means to be #PulseProud, and we are grateful for the incredible work they do for our students and community every day. ❤️
🎓 College & Career Fair Success 🎓
MHSHS hosted an incredible College and Career Fair this week, welcoming representatives from nearly 30 colleges, universities, and post-high school programs! Students had the opportunity to explore future pathways, ask questions, and gain valuable insight into their next steps after graduation.
Thank you to all the institutions and organizations who joined us to support our students’ dreams and goals. Events like these open doors and inspire our students to see the many possibilities ahead! ✨
🦺 Friday Funday: Labor Day Edition 🦺
Our Peer Leaders brought the energy with a Labor Day–themed construction challenge that had everyone laughing, competing, and building teamwork! 💪🚧 From stacking cones to cheering each other on, students came together to celebrate the spirit of dedication, progress, and community that Labor Day represents. What a fun way to honor the holiday while keeping the Pulse strong! ❤️💙
🔬 AP Chemistry Spotlight! 🔬
Our AP Chemistry students dove into an Acid/Base Lab yesterday, and their excitement was contagious! 💡✨ From mixing solutions to observing reactions, they brought science to life in the lab.
Hands-on learning like this is what makes MHSHS such a special place—our students don’t just study chemistry, they experience it! 💙
A special thank you to Ms. Nakia Ross for guiding this exciting lab and creating opportunities for students to engage deeply with chemistry concepts. Your passion for teaching makes learning both fun and meaningful! 💡✨

Counseling Corner
25-26 School Counseling Advisory Council
The MHSHS School Counseling Department is seeking new members for its 25-26 School Counseling Advisory Council. The purpose of the council is to provide feedback on the school counseling program goals, review school counseling program results, make recommendations for the school counseling program, and serves as an advocating tool for the school counseling program itself.
Input from all stakeholders (parents, students, teachers, administrators, and community members) is crucial to the development and success of our school counseling program. There are only TWO meetings yearly - one per semester. Please consider joining us for the 25-26 school year!
