Growing a Garden!
Week of April 7th
Dear Duval Families!
MCAS continues this week with 3rd grade on Monday, and then 4th Grade on Tuesday, Wednesday.
We've had a few kids using smartwatches or other little devices recording others. We just want to make sure everyone is clear that according to WH policy and Mass General Laws, recording of anyone without their express permission is prohibited. We appreciate folks reinforcing this idea with kids.
This week, we have the Mural Unveiling on Wednesday. Thinking it might be a bit crowded so we'll videotape it so folks can watch at home. Conferences are Thursday afternoon and evening. If you need help signing up, please email or call and we'll get you in. Sign up does shut off before Wednesday so teachers can plan ahead.
And the BIG event, the annual Talent Show is Friday night in the WHRHS auditorium (left door). Should be a wonderful night, and we thank the PTO coordinators for all of your hard work!
If you haven't done so already, please take a moment to fill out the Duval School Council Survey. See article below.
Have a wonderful week everyone!

This Week's Weather- A BIT COLD! Please dress for the weather!

MCAS
3rd and 4th grade ELA this week. Many thanks to our wonderful PTO for providing tasty snacks as a nice, supportive gesture for our students!
MCAS Note Tradition! (Thank you Theme Team!)
To encourage and support our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students as they continue on their MCAS journey this spring, we invite families to help us line our hallways with notes of encouragement!
Families are invited into Duval to write a note on our banners on:
Tuesday, April 8th at 7:00pm during the PTO Meeting
Wednesday, April 9th at 5:00 during the Mural Unveiling
Thursday, April 10th during Parent Teacher Conferences
If you are unable to make it into the building, please send in a note (sealed in an envelope) or email the note to your child's teacher and we can paste them to the banners! Shhhhh it's a surprise!
Safety and Traffic Notes
NO RECORDING! A reminder that NO student may record audio or video at school or on the bus.
With warmer weather, a reminder that all students commuting on wheels MUST have a helmet on as per Mass General Laws. Also, no e-scooters please.
If kids want to come back to play, they MUST wait until 3:30pm, AFTER dismissal is fully over.
Please check Infinite Campus to make sure your phone and email info is correct. We're getting better but still need folks to make sure info is correct!
School Council Survey
We have only heard from a small number of people. To ensure we are hearing the broadest of voices, please take a few moments to share YOUR feedback on the PARENT/GUARDIAN Survey HERE. Your perspective is important!
Thank you for helping us make continual improvements to our wonderful school!
