New Security Measures Coming for AAA New Security Measures Coming for AAA

In an ongoing effort to maximize safety for our students, Huntsville City Schools is rolling out the Open Gate metal detector system at all district middle schools. The rollout of our program has been delayed from its original date. As of now, AAA will debut the detectors on Tuesday, November 12. We expect only a minimal impact on our morning arrival. Each student entering the building from either the car line or the bus line will walk through the system every morning on their way in. Students and adults that enter the building late will also be screened through the front office. As always, we appreciate your support.

Click the link below to view a video showing how students enter the building. Click the link below to view a video showing how students enter the building.

Attendance Updates Attendance Updates

Our school wide goal for attendance is 98% present each and every school day. Every day counts! Please plan appointments early enough that your student can be checked in by 11:30 or later in the day so that they can be in school until at least 11:30 in order to avoid being counted absent.

Our attendance dropped over the past few weeks. Remember, every day counts!

Way to go 3rd and 7th grade for being our attendance leaders again this past week!
