Student Absences
All student absences should be reported the day of the absence to BHS' Attendance Clerk, Jenny Maron. Absences can be left on the attendance line by calling the high school and following the prompts or by email at jmaron@blmfld.org. Please be mindful of your students absences and tardies as they do generate attendance points unless they are excused. Students lose credit in full year classes after accumulating 10 attendance points and in semester classes after accumulating 5 attendance points.
Cell Phone Policy
In order to create the best possible environment for focus, learning, and personal growth, cell phone use will not be allowed during the school day. Students will be required to store their phones in their lockers. This includes iPads, MacBook's, etc. Students will be required to use school issued devices. All students will be issued a school Chromebook for their use during the school year. They will also receive a locker already equipped with a lock to ensure the safety of their belongings during the school day. If a student is found with any of these items, they will be confiscated by security and only returned to a parent/guardian. This decision is rooted in our belief that our students deserve a distraction-free environment where they can fully engage with their teachers, classmates, and learning. We appreciate your support in reinforcing this policy at home.
