📖 Schoology Language Support: Immersive Reader
Immersive Reader is a screen-reader tool that makes reading easier by simplifying the interface and enhancing the learning experience. It includes features that improve how text is displayed and adds visual cues when reading aloud, so students can stay focused and work at their own pace.
With Schoology Learning’s Immersive Reader integration, students can:
- Have the materials read aloud.
- Use tools to help with decoding text.
- Translate and listen to content in their preferred language.
Immersive Reader is available in Assignments, Discussions, Pages, Course Updates, Groups, and Messages.

📱New iPad Home Screen & Teacher Feedback
A new home screen has been rolled out to all Elementary iPads, designed specifically with our youngest learners in mind. The apps are now organized so that all district tools are easily accessible right from the home screen, and students won’t be able to accidentally delete any apps. We’ve also removed unused native Apple apps to keep things simple.
Be sure to check out the dock! You’ll find Classlink and Seesaw conveniently placed for quick access.
We’d love to hear your feedback on the new layout, so please take a moment to share your thoughts by clicking on the link below.
💜 Seesaw Pro Tip: Save as Draft and Edit a Post
Save as Draft
With Drafts, students can save work in progress and finish it later! Drafts make it easier for teachers to check in on student progress and send students feedback.
To save work as a Draft , have students choose the Draft option instead of selecting the green Check. Draft will appear in the student's journal with a yellow banner, indicating that the post is a Draft. Only the student who created the Draft and their teacher are able to view the Draft. If you want to edit the post, tap Show Draft and then tap the orange Edit button.
Note: If a student accidentally closes their Seesaw app, Seesaw will save a copy of their work on their device or computer. When they open Seesaw again on the same device or computer, Seesaw will recover the work and the student can continue working where they left off. For their work to be uploaded to their portfolio and visible to teachers and family members, students should still tap Draft or the green Check.
Create powerful feedback loops with the Send Back feature. Turn any piece of student work into a draft, so students can review and improve their work prior to posting to their journal. In the approval queue, tap Send Back to send student work back to the student.
Edit a Post
Did a student accidentally submit an activity or post to their journal before it was finished? No problem! Students can simply tap the [...] button below the post, select 'Edit Item,' make any necessary changes, and resubmit it for teacher approval.

Student Journal: Draft Ribbon
